The APrevent® Voice Implant System (VOIS) is designed for the treatment of glottic insufficiency and unilateral vocal cord paralysis (UVFP). It is used in the type I thyroplasty procedure to improve

voice quality and obtain complete closure of the glottal gap through complete medialization of the paralyzed vocal cord along its entire length.

The APrevent®VOIS is a long-term implant available in four different sizes (XS, S, M and L), with a specially designed instrument set.

The APrevent®VOIS consists of three components: titanium housing with integrated access chamber and port membrane, fixing plate with screw and deflatable silicone cushion.
