There are four main types of anesthesia used during surgery and other medical procedures: general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, sedation, and local anesthesia.
When a combination of these allows the patient to remain awake, the Xcope device is an ideal solution to:
- Reduce pain and anxiety
- Decrease drug use (lowering costs and minimizing side effects)
- Aid OR staff in managing patient care more effectivel
Xcope offers an evidence-based medical device for digital anesthesia, also known as IVR (Immersive Virtual Reality). This device alleviates pain and anxiety in patients during or after stressful or painful procedures.
The device combines three key components:
A virtual reality set (headset + earphones) that provides a fully immersive experience
A software featuring programs developed in close collaboration with physicians and neuroscience experts, and validated by clinical studies, to offer guided distraction
A single-use interface to protect the patient and streamline the workflow for the operating room (OR) staff
